SECURITY OFFICER
SALARY : R228 321 per annum
CENTRE : Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum academic qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent). Registration with Professional council: Candidates need to be registered as a Security Officer Grade B or greater with the Security Board in phrases of the Security Industry Regulatory Authority Act (PSIRA). Experience: Appropriate journey as a Security Supervisor. Appropriate Security Control Room operator experience. Appropriate CCTV surveillance structures operator experience. Contract Management experience. Inherent necessities of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) or greater driver’s licence. Physically fit. Willingness to
work shifts as set out and be on hand on a 24-hour basis. Must be prepared to rotate and be allotted to a range of structures of the Hospital. Must be prepared to endure a NIA protection clearance. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good written and verbal conversation skills. Knowledge of applicable prescripts, regulations and procedures. Ability to write reports. Computer literacy (Windows and Ms Word). CCTV surveillance and manage room practice.
DUTIES : Supervise safety manipulate room and widespread body of workers administration and liaise with management. Office administration: collect rosters, administer leave, performance monitoring, allocate duties, discipline of subordinates. Ensure Access/Egress Control is exercised successfully and efficiently. Ensure that effective patrolling of the structures parking areas and the perimeter. Contract
compliance, monitoring and administration of the Private Security in phrases of the SLA. Conduct investigations and complaints with regards to thefts, undermining activities, unauthorised entries. Liaise with the SAPS and all other law enforcement agencies.
