SALARY : R147 459 per annum (Level 4)
CENTRE : Theewaterskloof Dam

REQUIREMENTS : A Grade eight certificate. One (1) to two (2) years’ ride in popular renovation and restore work at bulk water infrastructures. A legitimate driver’s license (Attach a copy). Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures. Basic expertise in controlling and retaining bulk water provide infrastructure and grounds. Basic understanding of events inspection on gear and grounds. Basic appreciation of Public Administration and Government legislation. Good communication, analyzing and writing skills. Basic understanding of sluices and valves. Willingness to work shifts, time beyond regulation and function standby duties, inclusive of on weekends and public holidays. Must have the potential to function below pressure. Work outdoor in detrimental climate conditions, on buildings with steep steps and vertical ladders. Work in restricted areas reachable via manholes with bad lights and little air flow prevail.

DUTIES : General preservation and repairs at bulk water infrastructures and construction equipment. Basic repairs to broken equipment. Refer tools to different carrier vendors for repairs. Conduct familiar pursuits inspection and conventional preservation of grounds and equipment. Supervise subordinates on a normal basis. Keep water size constructions and environment smooth and reviews defects. Ensure tools and grounds are in appropriate condition. Keep report and job playing cards of preservation work.
