City of Johannesburg invitations South African unemployed graduates to practice for Paralegal Internship Programme 2024.

Intternship Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Group Legal and Contracts Department is imparting Internship possibilities to suitably certified and unemployed graduates. The Internship’s will run for a duration NOT exceeding eighteen (18) months.

Responsibilities:

• Provide criminal help and administrative help to the Group Legal and Contracts department;

• Assist with lookup on applicable issues;

• Perform duties related with provision of standard workplace help and administrative features ;

• Assist the Litigation Directorate with:

• the system of archives by way of receiving, recording and managing exterior prison correspondence, pleadings and any different courtroom papers served on the City;

• the administration of Litigation with the aid of executing precise instructions;

• making use of laid down procedures;

• interacting with Directors, Deputy Directors , senior Legal Advisors , exterior prison practitioner and different provider providers.

Requirements:

National Diploma / Degree (NQF degree 6 or higher) in:

• Law

• Legal Assistance

• Paralegal

• or associated field

Skills and Competencies:

• Computer literacy (MS Office applications) and email.

• Good conversation capabilities (written and verbal)

• Good human beings skills.

• Knowledge of litigation Management;

• Knowledge of Court strategies and procedures

Duration: 18 Months contract

Stipend: R9 043,21 pm
