SOCIAL WORK MANAGER: PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION &COORDINATION AND REGIONAL OFFICE (WEST COAST REGION) REFNO: DSD 10/2022
SALARY : Grade 1: R806 811 – R908 eighty five per annum, (as prescribed by using OSD)
Grade 2: R963 387 – R1 116 831 per annum, (as prescribed by using OSD)
CENTRE : Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government
REQUIREMENTS : Formal tertiary qualification in Social Work (e.g. Bachelor of Social Work) that lets in expert registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP); Compulsory registration with SACSSP as a Social Worker; A minimal of 10 years appropriate/ recognisable journey in social work after registration as Social Worker with the SACSSP; A legitimate using licence. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Analytic, diagnostic, evaluation tools, contrast strategies and tactics (Social Work); Personnel Management; Supervision Framework for Social Work profession; Social Welfare and Community Development law associated to children; Social Welfare and Community Development principle and interventions; Information and Knowledge Management; Protocol and expert ethics; The following skills: Organising and planning; Project planning; Psycho social intervention; Conflict management; Proven laptop literacy; Written and verbal conversation skills.
DUTIES : Provide a Social Welfare and Community Development provider of the highest, most superior and specialised nature inside a described area(s) of specialisation with regard to the care, support, safety and improvement of prone individuals, groups, households and communities thru the applicable programmes in partnership with stakeholders. Attend to any different things that should end result in, or stem from, social instability in any form; Facilitate the development and planning of programmes and interventions to render a social welfare and neighborhood improvement carrier via the efficient, competitively priced and fine utilisation of economic resources; Management of carrier transport area(s) (unit(s)) to make sure that an environment friendly and high-quality social welfare and neighborhood improvement provider is delivered thru the environment friendly and nice utilisation of human resources; Plan and make sure that social welfare and community improvement lookup are undertaken; Undertake complicated social welfare and neighborhood improvement research. Perform and / or make certain that all the administrative feature required in the provider transport area(s) are performed; Keep up to date with new trends in the Social Welfare and Community Development field; Supervise all the administrative features required in the carrier transport area(s) and undertake the greater level
administrative functions.
