Job Description
Our enterprise is searching for a suitably certified and skilled Junior Industrial Engineer to be a part of our dynamic team. Based in Jet Park, the reason of the role is to identify, layout and execute Logistics associated tasks in the SPAR South Rand Distribution Centre.
Duties & Responsibilities
Optimisation of all Dry Goods and Perishables warehouse layouts
Manage and Refine Labour Management, in phrases of the:
– Current Standards
– Revision of work learn about requirements due to modifications in work processes
– Various Productivity Based Incentive Schemes
Analysis of and imparting Industrial Engineering options to Logistics commercial enterprise challenges, e.g. Productivity Based Pay systems
Implement and hold the strategies and techniques required for “Lean Logistics” questioning and approaches:
– Lead groups and people in recognized Logistics enchancment projects
– Focus on workflows and controls to enhance the effectiveness of the Logistics operation
– Educate groups in Lean Thinking Principles and Methods
Be section of an Operational Line Management Team to assist and lead unique tasks • Trouble taking pictures recognized Logistics areas and procedures with low productivity
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric or equal qualification
Formal Industrial Engineering qualification at a university
3-5 Years Industrial Engineering trip in a Warehouse environment
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
Knowledge in SAP EWM
Project administration experience
Proven potential to use AutoCAD for technical drawings and changes thereof
Provide Leadership in a participative environment
Excellent conversation and interpersonal skills
Data collection, facts evaluation and improvement of manageable options with motivation on the possible solutions
Goal oriented and self-driven to gain results
Ability to correctly lead and manipulate a number of initiatives at the identical time from inception to completion
Ability to lead and furnish path to a committed momentary assignment team
Ability to work with a range of groups to put in force Lean Thinking techniques and approaches
Problem evaluation and problem-solving methodologies
