Introduction
SPAR Lowveld, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd. is recruiting for a Purchasing Manager, at its Distribution Centre, placed in Nelspruit.
Duties & Responsibilities
The reason of this function is to aggressively pressure turnover, attain market share, maximize SPAR income via cautious planning and buying of the right stock, on time and in line with the Retailer requirements.
Key Performance Areas:
Management of promotions planning.
Achievement of income and gross earnings targets.
Ensuring product pricing competitiveness towards opponents and budgeted retail margins to members.
Delivering on the described provider ranges to retailers.
Development of inner controls to manipulate and document on all purchaser key overall performance areas.
Driving product development.
Overseeing Warehouse inventory levels.
Management of the overall performance of suppliers from a pricing, product, and carrier stage aspect.
Control branch administration and expenses.
Assisting in imparting management to the Marketing team.
Desired Experience & Qualification
National Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12).
Marketing or Purchasing associated Degree / National Diploma.
Minimum 5 years administration ride in an FMCG environment.
Computer Literacy.
Strategic decision-making skills.
Ability to format and organize.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong management and administration skills.
Good negotiator with entrepreneurial skills.
Good communicator (written and verbal).
Team player.
