Job Overview:
As a General Worker, you will be helping the Maintenance and Directional Drilling groups with tools maintenance, welding, fitting, electrical assistance, and making sure the sustainability of equipment. You will additionally be accountable for secure operation of welding tools and helping the crew in accomplishing goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Welding of mining tools (flux core and different processes)
Operating oxy-fuel fuel reducing equipment
Assisting with the operation of overhead cranes and lifting equipment
Conducting visible inspections to make certain security standards
Participating in each day conferences and reporting any dangerous conditions
Identifying and reporting atypical conditions
Following SOPs and COPs for safety, housekeeping, and different work-related activities
Identifying cost-saving opportunities
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

Grade 12/N3/NCV Level four or Equivalent (Maths & Science advantageous)
Driver’s license (minimum code 08)
Able to acquire a Medical Certificate of Fitness
First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Experience:

12 months welding experience
Familiarity with underground equipment (e.g., Shuttle Car, Roof Bolter, Crushers, etc.)
12 months plant trip (desirable)
Ability to use MIG welding tools (desirable)
Skills:

Safety techniques and awareness
Emergency preparedness
Knowledge of Mine Health & Safety Act and OSHA
Ability to interpret written work instructions
