The South African Reserve Bank (SARB), in collaboration with the SARB Academy, invitations college students to practice for the Economics Bursary Programme 2026 for undergraduate studies.

Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate research in:

Economics
Economics and Econometrics
Economics and Mathematical Statistics
Economic Science
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants have to meet the following minimal standards to be considered:

Must be a South African citizen.
Must be below 30 years old.
Must have carried out Matric or be presently in Matric.
Must graph to learn about full-time toward an undergraduate Economics-related diploma in 2026.
Must be coming into 1st yr of learn about in 2026.
Must have commonplace or provisionally standard admission at an authorized South African university.
Must have a minimal ordinary common of 70% for the 2025 tutorial year.
Must have at least 70% for each English and Mathematics.
Must be financially needy and unable to come up with the money for college except a bursary.
Must be from a deprived background.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted inside 1 month after the closing date.
